We stayed at Wyndham National Harbor

OMG!!! This is the coolest place ever! Based in the Georgetown area of DC, it is off the beaten path, but well worth the visit. The Museum on O Street is a museum/hotel-ish meld where you are going to be amazed to say the least. I honestly cannot do it justice, so here is the link to the website: https://www.omuseum.org/visit

The museum has over 100 rooms, 70 hidden doors, and literally millions of things to look at...all of which are purchasable, and most of which is donated. The common saying there is "bring your shopping bag". There is also an online shop on the website where you can see some of the objects for sale.

This museum is a meld of five townhomes with four floors, an elevator, and the capacity to get lost for a couple hours. Keep ahold of your children! I almost lost Stewie. There are also artists in residence here, and some notables that have stayed/played here include Jackson Browne, Cat Stevens, Kenny G, Paul Williams and the 5th Dimension, and there is a live music series, SRO, offered, but you must book online for these events. On top of all of this, I would say the history is what is most interesting to me. The townhomes were interconnected in 1892 by Edward Clark, the architect for the US Capital, and he would bring home leftover tiles and wood for the house. They are widely regarded as the last virtually intact townhomes in DC from that era. Since then, the townhomes have been used as residences for J. Edgar Hoover's G-men, the home base of the leaders of the 1960's protest movements (who Norman Mailer wrote about in "Armies of the Night"), and Rosa Parks was often a visitor to O Museum where she entertained dignitaries and held Sunday gospel brunch. What an incredible history in a town known for its history!

But, I will admit the most astonishing thing of all is that there isn't dust on anything.
